Fire Department
The Peace River Fire Department has evolved from the traditional service that strictly fights fires to a fire service of great diversity. The department has gradually assumed more responsibilities to such a degree that it now provides a wide range of services beyond fire protection. These services include extrication, all types of technical rescue (high angle, confined space, ice & water), emergency medical assistance, hazardous materials mitigation, fire code enforcement, fire investigations, pre-incident planning, and public relations. The Peace River Fire Department is a composite emergency response team dedicated to providing quick and professional service to the citizens of Peace River in their time of need, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Disaster Services
The Town of Peace River strives to be prepared for emergency situations by participating in emergency response planning and exercises. The Emergency Response Plan incorporates the RCMP and other organizations that are essential in mitigating crises should any occur.

BYLAW ENFORCEMENT

As part of the Protective Services Department, the Bylaw Department is responsible for the enforcement of bylaws passed by Council for the Town of Peace River. Bylaw Enforcement is committed to serve, protect and provide a desired quality of life for citizens and visitors to the Town of Peace River through education to raise awareness of community standards, and enforcement of Town Bylaws to ensure timely compliance with a professional, unbiased approach.
